Those invited to interview for orthopaedic residency positions at The Ohio State University will be notified by email on October 15, 2008. Interviews will take place in Columbus on the following dates:

  • Friday, December 5, 2008
  • Friday, December 12, 2008
  • Friday, January 9, 2009

Reception at Buckeye Hall of Fame Café
1421 Olentangy River Road
The interview process begins with an informal dinner on the Thursday evening before the actual interview date. This event is hosted by the current orthopaedic residents. Dress is casual. This is a good opportunity to talk freely with the residents, learn more about the program and the Columbus area, and relax before the interview day.

Interview Day at OSU Main Hospital
N1043 Doan Hall,
410 W 10th Ave
There will be a morning and an afternoon session of interviews. Those invited to interview will be given the opportunity to choose the morning or the afternoon session. Assignments will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. There are three interview groups in the morning and three interview groups in the afternoon. Registration begins at 6:45 am for the morning interview groups, and at 10:45 am for the afternoon interview groups. The AM interviewees will have a tour of facilities in the afternoon, and PM interviewees will have a tour of facilities in the morning. Therefore, if you are in an afternoon group and you wish to tour the facilities, you will need to arrive at 9:15 am.

A light breakfast will be served at 6:45 am for the morning groups. Applicants will be interviewed in groups of 4. Each applicant will interview with six faculty members and two chief residents who interview in pairs, thus you will have four interviews.
