All orthopaedic residents are required to attend following OSU-based educational conferences. In addition to these conferences (with the exception of the Fracture Conference), all orthopaedic residents are required to attend educational conferences at other affiliated hospitals as required by each hospital's Director of Orthopaedic Education.

First and Second Fridays 11:00 am - 12:00 pm (September - June)
Every Friday 9:30 - 10:30 am (July and August)

Fracture cases are presented and fracture/trauma topics are discussed by residents and attendings. The location for these conferences varies in accordance with the location of Grand Rounds. All Orthopaedic residents are required to attend these conferences.

Fridays 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. (September - June)
1st Friday of each month: Morbidity and Mortality, Location: TBA
3rd Friday of each month: Pediatric Orthopaedic Lecture, Location: Children's Hospital, Baxter Hall
4th Friday of each month: General Topic, Location: Riverside Hospital, Edwards Auditorium

All orthopaedic residents are required to attend Grand Rounds. Topics and speakers vary.

2nd Tuesdays 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. (September - June), Location TBA

All orthopaedic residents are required to attend Journal Club. Readings are assigned to each resident at least 2 weeks in advance.

2nd Friday of month 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (September - June)

Research Conference takes place in N1043 Doan Hall. Dr. Litsky leads the discussion on research methods, current projects, proposed projects, etc. 

A calendar provides schedule of conferences held at Riverside Hospital. Content of the calendar will be updated frequently.

Fridays 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. (July ­ September

All Orthopaedics residents are required to attend Teaching Conference. This conference takes place immediately following Grand Rounds at the same institution as Grand Rounds. Topics are determined by the educational curriculum and are communicated to the residents at the beginning of each academic year. Copies of the readings that correspond to the topic are distributed to the residents about a week in advance.

All orthopaedic residents are required to attend Visiting Professor Conferences. Topics and speakers vary.
