Department of Orthopaedics at The Ohio State University was recently cited as one of the country's top residency programs in terms of the number of female residents. In an article entitled "Road to Diversity Tough, But Possible", AAOS Bulletin, June 2000, the Department of Orthopaedics was named as one of six orthopaedic residency programs with the largest number of female residents. Also named were Duke University, Mayo Graduate School of Medicine, St. Lukes-Roosevelt/Columbia University, Case Western Reserve University, and Northwestern University.
